since the joys of blackpool lots has been going on behind the scenes in the harem pilots camp. we went on internet tv, travelled to a festival in wales and over a chinese banquet and a shed load of beers decided that harem pilots would be no more.

the word has been out and rumours on the grapevine for a while now however we wanted to make the offical announcement before our last booked gig at night and day on july 25th. go to the events page for a flyer

we are planning one final gig in the autumn to finish it off, keep your eye on the website for more details. we hope to see you at the night and day for what will be quite a night and day!..

the pilots travelled to blackpool on friday may 19th with a harem of revellers and sirkus saigon to rock the tache bar. after a bevy of pints, other blackpool delights and wrestlemania the sirkus got the fans rocking and the pilots followed with an explosive set. why not check out the gallery?

although due for a night in bristol the next night, our hero's found themselves without a gig after receiving a call from the promoter so carried on the party in manchester.

phil and leigh got drunk with and interviewed by geetan (who did our most recent review). check the forum soon for the results

there has been a hell of a lot of dirge destruction and debauchery going on at harem pilots headquarters in the last month or so. for a rockumentry of explosive gigs at jabez clegg, mcr academy & the late rooms see the new gallery

harem pilots have been causing some severe mayhem across the mcr in the last week or so. first of all, despite lack of soundcheck, they played a blinding set a jabez clegg supporting the imperial vipers.

the dirge (or should that be "cock rock") police were called less than a week later for a last minute acoustic performance which was witnessed by the lucky few in the garrett watching sirkus saigon.

and exciting gigs are upon us. it's less than a week to go before harem pilots spring back into live action. firstly at jabez clegg march 16th with imperial vipers and then 3 weeks later at manchester academy 3 with 4ft Fingers.

Gigs are like busses right? You hang around in the rain for ages and then two come along at once. In order that you, the loyal user of public transport, aren’t screwed for two daysavers we at PILOT HQ have decided to provide you with a megarider.

Enough of the metaphor already! Basically we’re playing two top-notch horny love fests with the Imperial Vipers on March the 16th March @ Jabez Clegg and 4ft Fingers on the 6th April @ Academy 3. Tickets are 5 quid for Jabez and 6 quid for Academy 3 or, and here’s the megarider, a Tenner for a combination deal. We’re also promising two completely different sets with old favorites and brand spanking new tunes!

on thursday night harem pilots brought more rock n roll debauchery to the late room. despite it being 10pm on a school night the building was packed with a high concentration of freeeks buzzing for the band who never disappoint.

new song "let me lick you" went down a storm in a set that climaxed with what will be the new single "last daze" and leigh performing a firemans lift style manoeuvre on phil with some random kicking by dave

also featured in the set was the electronedelic intro to icarus, this is as yet untitled but harem pilots have decided open up the forum and let you have your say to give it a name...

Harem Pilots took to the road and caused no end of mischief on this merry night at the Primrose.

Drunken inter-band bickering with a Gary Barlow lookalike from one of the other bands only served to raise the bands focus and the set was played to ecstatic response.

A huge crowd gathered at Manchester Club Academy on Friday night to witness yet another explosive set from Harem Pilots.

The band introduced new songs "Found God" and "Elements" along with favourites including "Icarus" and "Charlie" finishing with a rocking "Tarts Boudoir" and 3 of 3 guitars hitting the floor. Photo's from the gig will be appearing on this site very soon.

The pilots are now rehersing for their gig at The Primrose in Leeds on November 19th, as those who were at Manchester Academy will testify, you would be a fool to miss it, people of Leeds, beware....

it has been heard on the grapevine that harem pilots were evicted from jilly's rockworld on sunday night after their ITC set. it was cut short as the pilots went on stage half an hour late due an already behind schedule.

the pilots played through 2 songs to a frenzied crowd only to be told the their third would be their last. the band marched on to the desires of the crowd playing 2 more songs only to be removed from the premises by angry bouncers.

So after leaving fans thirsty for more, Harem Pilots prepare for their biggest gig to date, headlining Manchester Club Academy on November 4th - be there.

The first bit of news emanating from the Pilots camp today is confirmation of the time and place for the acoustic guerilla gig.

The harem is instructed to meet Saturday October 1st between 7-7.30 pm at the Pitcher & Piano next to Bridgewater Hall. They should wear a pink carnation in honour of the event (and so the band know who they are).

The second bit of news is that the Pilots will also be playing the ITC Rock Festival 2005 on Sunday October 2nd in the almighty Jilly's Rockworld. The lads will be taking to the "No Jazz" stage (Room 2) @ 8pm.

Flyers are available to download on the events page of this fair site. These will allow the fans to see 27 bands for the small fee of a fiver and will also make the band look popular (everyone's a winner!)

Busting their way into the national stage has always been a mission for the Pilots (if they can cause a bit of trouble in the meantime just as well) so a guerilla gig for ITC seems like the perfect idea.
